Meet Dr. Eric Wang
Dr. Wang graduated summa cum laude with a double major in chemistry and psychology from the University of Minnesota–Duluth. He then pursued his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, graduating with honors from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. He joined Brook West Family Dentistry in 1999. Dr. Wang received the Award of Excellence from the Minnesota Academy of General Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Minnesota Dental Association.
Dr. Wang continues his training through post-graduate courses, with special focus on aesthetics and full-mouth rehabilitation. He continues this education from renowned institutes including LVI, University of MN, Spear Education, and the Kois Center. Dr. Wang has received specialized training in Lumineers®, CEREC technology and implant training with Misch Institute. His post-graduate training includes both didactic lectures and hands-on training.
Dr. Wang has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) since 2012 and was accredited in 2017. The process of gaining AACD accreditation often takes years to accomplish and requires a strong dedication to continuing education, combined with a firm resolve to produce exceptional dentistry. Dr. Wang has now been recently recognized by the AACD in 2021 as an Accredited Fellow Member (FAACD). This is the highest honor obtainable within the Academy. This means that he has successfully completed cosmetic dentistry requirements that meet the accreditation standard of excellence set forth by the American Board of Cosmetic Dentistry, and he has demonstrated a continued ability and sustained commitment to delivering excellence in cosmetic dentistry.
One of his passions has been serving those in need. He has been active in the AACD’s Give Back a Smile program and has participated or hosted the American Dental Association program Give Kids a Smile through the years. Through the Minnesota Dental Association, he volunteers at their annual Mission of Mercy and donates free dental care through the Donated Dental Services program.
Other non-profits that Dr. Wang has donated time and energy to, include, Sharing and Caring Hands of Minneapolis, the SPEAR Open Wide Foundation, as well as being a visiting faculty member at SPEAR education, where he mentored others in the profession. Dr. Wang serves AACD’s New Member Relations Committee and is on the board of the Minnesota Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a graduate of the Kois Center, has a mastership through the Implant Prosthetic Section of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and is a Fellow of the AGD.
Dr. Wang and his wife, Julie, have four children: Leah, Sarah, Andrew, and Matthew, and two cockapoos, Cocoa and Max.
